Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering Company Policy
Catering
A signed Food & Beverage Catering Contract will be required prior to the
event to allow for coordination of the menu. All menu prices are per
person (unless otherwise noted), and do not include applicable meals tax
(9%), or gratuity (15%).
Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering Company prepares for the guaranteed
number of guests requiring the contracted services. Should fewer than
the contracted number arrive, you will still be billed for the original
amount. Should more than the guaranteed number be served, you will be
billed additionally, at the agreed amount per person. However, as these
events are custom designed for your group, Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and
Catering Company cannot guarantee that there will be enough food or
beverage to serve an additional number of guests. There will be
a service fee depending on the number of wait staff and chefs needed.
The fee is $10.00 per hour servers and cooks, $15.00 per hour for
bartenders and $18.00 per hour for chefs.
NOTE: The 15% gratuity applies to all food and beverage
items and is taxable according to Vermont State Tax Commission. State
sales tax (6%) will be added to all rental fees. State meals tax (9%)
will be added to food items.
Contract
A deposit may be required to reserve a requested date. A contract
agreement confirming the dates and services requested, and corresponding
deposit requirements, will be sent to the renting party. Confirm the
information, making any necessary changes, and promptly sign and return
the contract to Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering Company with any
required deposits as outlined in the agreement. Rental fees are applied
to your final bill.
The renting party agrees to and accepts the sole responsibility for any
actions that arise from the serving of alcohol and the renting party
will protect Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering Company and its
directors from any legal actions due to the renter’s decision to serve
alcohol at their function.
By signing the Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering Company Sales/Catering
Contract, the renting party acknowledges that they have read,
understood, and agreed to all of these stated policies for conducting
and event.
Payment
Charges are billed upon completion of the function and the balance is
due on or before the day of the event.
Cancellations
The Catering agreement can be cancelled by the renting party with
written notice by registered letter or email and with payment of
applicable cancellation fees. The cancellation fee will be 10 % of the
parties assumed bill if not received 7 days in advance of the event.
Impossibility
The performance of this agreement by either party is subject to acts of
God, war, government regulations, disaster, strike, civil disorder, or
other emergencies making it inadvisable, illegal, or impossible to
provide the facilities or hold the function. It is provided that this
agreement may be terminated without liability for any one or more such
reasons by written notice from one party to the other.
Liability Release
Upon signing the contract agreement, the renting party agrees to
release, hold harmless and indemnify Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and Catering
Company, its officers, directors, agents, and employees from all
liabilities, claims, expenses (including attorneys' fees), demands,
suits or costs of whatever nature for injury to, or death of any
person(s) or damage, theft, loss or destruction of property arising out
of an event in connection with the use of Sweet Crunch Bakeshop and
Catering Company.
